Girths
Choosing the right girth is crucial for both the horse's comfort and the saddle's stability. To find the correct length, measure from one girth strap, under the horse's belly, to the corresponding point on the other side. A correctly positioned girth should lie in the middle of the horse's belly and not chafe behind the front legs. It should be tight enough to prevent the saddle from slipping, but not so tight that it interferes with the horse's breathing or movement.
